Ignition Switch: Testing and Inspection

Ignition Switch Test

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and precautions and procedures in the SRS before performing repairs or servicing.

1. Remove the dashboard lower cover.




2. Disconnect connector A (5P) from the under-dash fuse/relay box.




3. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.
4. If the continuity checks do not agree with the table, replace the steering lock (ignition) switch.
