Trim Removal/Installation - Door Areas

Special Tools Required
KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when prying components.




1. Detach the hook (A), tabs (B) and pins (C) from the kick panel (D) and B-pillar lower trim panel (E), and pull the front door sill trim (F) up by hand to detach the clips, then remove it.








2. Remove the kick panel, driver's side (A) or passenger's side (B).
1. Pull the door opening trim (C) away from the kick panel hooks (D) and the door opening flange.
2. Left side: Pull the hood release handle, and hold it.
3. Pull the kick panel out by hand to detach the clips (E, F), then remove it.




3. Pull out the front door opening trim (A) from the trim hooks (B) and around the front door opening flange, then remove the trim.




4. Detach the hooks (A) and pins (B) from the B-pillar lower trim (C) and rear side trim panel (D), and pull the sliding door sill trim (E) up by hand to detach the clips (F, G), then remove it.




5. Pull out the sliding door opening trim (A) from the trim hooks (B) and around the sliding door opening flange, then remove the trim.
6. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Check the clips for damage or stress-whitening, and replace them with new one.
- Push the clips and hooks into place securely.
