Alternator Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the radio, then write down the customer's audio presets.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery first, then disconnect the positive cable.




3. Remove the bolt (A) securing the battery clamp, then remove the bulkhead cover (B).




4. Remove the upper brackets and cushions.
5. Remove the drive belt.
6. Remove the auto-tensioner




7. Remove the three bolts securing the alternator.




8. Disconnect the alternator connector (A) and BLK wire (B), and remove the harness clamp (C) from the alternator.




9. Remove the alternator.

Installation




1. Install the alternator connector (A) and BLK wire (B), and install the harness clamp (C) from the alternator.




2. Install the three bolts securing the alternator.
3. Install the auto-tensioner
4. Install the drive belt.




5. Install the upper brackets and cushions.




6. Install the bolt (A) securing the battery clamp, then install the bulkhead cover (B).
7. Connect the positive cable to the battery first, then connect the negative cable.
8. Enter the anti-theft codes for the radio, then enter the customer's audio presets.
9. Do the power window control unit reset procedure.
10. Set the clock.
