Second Row Seat Lock Release Cable Replacement
Second Row Seat Lock Release Cable ReplacementNOTE: Take care not to kink the cable.
1. Remove the second row seat.
2. Remove these items:
- Outer recline cover
- Inner recline cover C
- Rear outer riser cover
- Rear inner riser cover
3. Release the hooks from under the seat cushion.
4. Disconnect the outer lock release cable (A) and inner lock release cable (B) from the knob.
5. If necessary, remove the knob (A).
6. Disconnect the lock release cables (A) from both latches (B). Pull the end of each cable in through the holes (C) in the riser.
7. Release the wire ties (A) fastening each cable on the seat cushion frame spring (B), then remove the outer lock release cable (C) and inner lock release cable (D).
8. Install the cables in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure each cable is connected securely.
- Replace the wire ties you removed with new ones.
