Navigation Display Will Not Close

Navigation display will not close

1. Check the CD door. Look for foreign objects, stuck CD, broken or sticking door.

Is the CD door OK?

YES - Go to step 2.

NO - Repair/replace the CD changer.

2. Remove the CD changer. Check the voltage on the navigation display connector B (10P) terminal No. 10.

Is there about 3.0 V?

YES - Check the connections on connector B (10P) terminal No. 10 at the navigation display unit. If OK, substitute a known-good navigation display and recheck. If the problem is repaired, replace the navigation display.

NO - Go to step 3.

3. Disconnect the navigation display connector B (10P) and the CD changer connector A (18P). Check for continuity to body ground on terminal No. 4 of the CD changer connector.

Is there continuity?

YES - Repair the short in the wire between the navigation display and the CD changer.

NO - Replace the CD changer.
