Tailgate Upper Handle Replacement

NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the tailgate trim panel.




2. Disconnect the upper handle rod (A) and remove the bolts securing the upper handle (B).




3. Push out the hooks (A) from inside of the tailgate, and then remove the tailgate upper handle (B). Take care not to scratch the tailgate.
4. Install the upper handle in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure the upper handle rod is connected securely.
- Make sure the tailgate opens in flip mode properly.
