Tailgate Release Actuator Test
Tailgate Release Actuator Test 1.
Open the tailgate, and remove the tailgate trim.
2.
Disconnect the 2P connector from the tailgate release actuator.
3.
Check the actuator operation by connecting power to the No. 2 terminal and ground to the No. 1 terminal momentarily. The actuator should work.
4.
If the actuator does not work, replace the tailgate latch switch/release actuator assembly.
