Cable Reel Subharness Replacement

Cable Reel Subharness Replacement
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. Remove the steering wheel.
2. Remove the screws (A) (4) securing the steering wheel back cover (B), then remove the steering wheel back cover.





3. Remove steering wheel upshift (+) switch connector from its holder, and disconnect the connector.
4. Remove the screw (C) securing the steering wheel upshift (+) switch (D), then remove the steering wheel upshift (+) switch and the cruise control combination switch (E).
5. Disconnect the cruise control combination switch connector.
6. Remove the steering wheel downshift (-) switch connector (A) from its holder, and disconnect the connector.





7. Remove the harness guide (B) and the cable reel subharness (C), and remove the cable reel subharness from the harness guide.
8. Replace the cable reel subharness, and install new subharness on the harness guide.
9. Install the harness guide on the steering wheel.
10. Install the cruise control combination switch and the steering wheel upshift (+) switch with the screw, and install the steering wheel back cover with the screws (4).
11. Connect disconnected connectors.
12. Install the steering wheel.
