EGR Tube: Service and Repair




EGR Pipe Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Raise the vehicle on a lift.

2. Remove the splash shield. Engine Removal

3. Remove the front WU-TWC stay (A).

4. Remove the EGR pipe mounting nuts (B) and front WU-TWC stay joint (C).

5. Lower the vehicle.






6. Remove the EGR pipe mounting bolts (A).

7. Remove the EGR pipe (B) and gaskets (C).






Installation

1. Set the EGR pipe (A) with new gaskets (B), and tighten the EGR pipe mounting bolts (C).

2. Raise the vehicle on a lift.






3. Temporarily install the front WU-TWC stay joint (A) and the front WU-TWC stay (B). Tighten the EGR pipe mounting nuts (C) and the bolts by hand.

4. Tighten the EGR pipe mounting nuts.

5. Tighten the A/C compressor bracket mounting bolt (D), then tighten the bolt (E).

6. Install the splash shield. Engine Installation
