Hatch Latch Replacement

NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the hatch trim panel. Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Hatch Area

2. Disconnect the hatch opener cable (A), the cylinder rod (B), the hatch latch actuator connector (C), and the hatch latch switch connector (D).

3. Remove the bolts, then remove the hatch latch (E).

4. Install the hatch latch in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly and the opener cable is connected properly.

- Make sure the opener cable actuates the latch before you close the hatch.

- Make sure the hatch opens properly and locks securely.
