Hatch Lock Cylinder Replacement

NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the hatch trim panel. Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Hatch Area

2. Disconnect the cylinder rod (A), and remove the bolts securing the hatch lock cylinder (B).






3. Turn the lock cylinder (A) 45 °, and pull it out.

4. If necessary, remove the lock cylinder seal (B) on the outside of the hatch.

5. Install the lock cylinder in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure the cylinder rod is connected properly.

- Make sure the hatch opens properly and locks securely.
