Water Pump: Testing and Inspection




Water Pump Inspection

1. Remove the right front wheel.

2. Remove the splash shield.

3. Loosen the water pump pulley mounting bolts.

4. Remove the drive belt. Service and Repair

5. Remove the water pump pulley.






6. Turn the water pump counterclockwise, and make sure that it turns freely. If it does not, replace the water pump. Service and Repair
NOTE: When you check the water pump, you may see a small amount of "weeping" from the bleed holes (A). This is normal.

7. Install the water pump pulley.

8. Install the drive belt. Service and Repair

9. Tighten the water pump pulley mounting bolts.

10. Install the splash shield.

11. Install the right front wheel.
