Cruise Control Switch: Service and Repair




Cruise Control Combination Switch Test/Replacement

VAN, DX, and LX

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations, and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair, before doing repairs or service.

1. Remove the driver's airbag Driver's Airbag Replacement.

2. Remove the two screws, then disconnect the connector, and remove the cruise control combination switch.






3. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.

- If there is continuity, and it matches the table, but the switch failure occurred on the cruise control input test, check and repair the wire harness on the cruise control combination switch circuit.
- If there is no continuity in one or both positions, replace the cruise control combination switch.






Except VAN, DX, and LX ('07 model and '08-10 models without premium audio system)

1. Remove the driver's airbag Driver's Airbag Replacement.

2. Remove the four screws, then disconnect the connectors, and remove the cruise control combination switch.






3. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.

- If there is continuity, and it matches the table, but the switch failure occurred on the cruise control input test, check and repair the wire harness on the cruise control combination switch circuit.
- If there is no continuity in one or more positions, replace the cruise control combination switch.





4. Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table.

- If there is continuity, and it matches the table, check and repair the wire harness on the cruise control combination switch circuit.
- If there is no continuity in one or more positions, repair the cruise control combination switch.






Except VAN, DX, and LX ('08-10 models with premium audio system)

1. Remove the driver's airbag Driver's Airbag Replacement.
