Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Replacement

'08-10 models

Removal

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure Procedures, then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Remove the front passenger's seat assembly Front Seat Removal/Installation.

3. Remove the tamper-resistant TORX bolts (A) and bolts (B) attaching the seat track (C) and seat riser (D) to the front passenger's weight sensors (E).





4. Disconnect the weight sensor connectors (F) from the front passenger's seat wire harness (G), then remove the front passenger's weight sensors.

Installation

NOTE:

- Be sure to install the harness wires so they are not pinched or interfering with other parts.
- Make sure both of the hooks (A) on the seat track are properly secured to the front bracket (B). If the hooks are not properly secured, the front passenger's weight sensors will not function properly.

1. Install the front passenger's weight sensors (C) with tamper-resistant TORX bolts (D) on the seat riser (E).





2. Connect the weight sensor connectors (F) to the front passenger's seat wire harness (G), then install the track (H) on the front passenger's weight sensors with bolts (I).

3. Reinstall the front passenger's seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.

4. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure Procedures.

5. Clear any DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

6. Do the front passenger's weight sensor initialization. Programming and Relearning

7. Confirm proper operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II); the SRS indicator should come for about 6 seconds and then go off.
