Symptom Troubleshooting: OPEN/CLOSE function of the display does not work

OPEN/CLOSE function of the display does not work

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

2. Disconnect the navigation display unit connector B (10P) and audio disc changer connector A (18P).

3. Check for continuity between navigation display unit connector B (10P) terminal No. 10 and body ground.

Is there continuity?
YES - Repair short in the wire between navigation display unit connector B (10P) terminal No. 10 and audio disc changer connector A (18P) terminal No. 4.

NO - Go to step 4.






4. Substitute a known-good navigation display unit, and check to see if the display opens and closes normally.

Does the display work normally?
YES - Replace the navigation display unit. Service and Repair

NO - Replace the audio disc changer. Service and Repair
