HandsFreeLink Control Unit Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Center Maintenance Cover





1. Remove the maintenance cover (A).

2. Shift Lever Panel (AT)





1. Carefully pry out the shift lever panel (A) with the appropriate trim tool to detach the clips (B, C) and the hooks (D), then remove the shift lever panel.

3. HandsFreeLink Control Unit





1. Disconnect the connector.

2. Remove the HandsFreeLink control unit (A).

Installation

1. HandsFreeLink Control Unit





1. Connect the connector.

2. Install the HandsFreeLink control unit (A).

After replacing the HandsFreeLink control unit, tell the customer:
* They need to pair their phones to the system.
* They need to set up their system preferences.
* Update the HFL if it does not have the latest software.

2. Shift Lever Panel (AT)





1. Install the shift lever panel (A). Make sure the clips (B, C) and the hooks (D) snap into place securely.

3. Center Maintenance Cover





1. Install the maintenance cover (A).
