License Plate Light Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Rear License Trim





1. Remove the bolt (A).





2. Pull out the rear license trim (A) to release the clip pins (B) from the clip grommets (C) on the trunk lid.

NOTE: The clip grommets will stay on the trunk lid.





3. Remove the clip grommets (A) from the trunk lid.

4. Install the clip grommets into the clip pins on the rear license trim.

NOTE: If the clip pins and the clip grommets are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them as an assembly with new ones.

2. License Plate Light Assembly





1. Push the license plate light assembly (A) to the side to release the retaining spring, and pull out the license plate light assembly.





2. Disconnect the connector, and remove the license plate light assembly.

3. Separate the lens (A) from the housing (B), then remove the bulb.

Installation

1. License Plate Light Assembly





1. Install the lens (A) on the housing (B).

2. Connect the connector.





3. Insert the hook (A), then lightly push the license plate light assembly (B) in to install it.

2. Rear License Trim





1. Hold up the rear license trim (A), and fit the clips into the holes in the trunk lid.

2. Push on the trim until the clips snap into place securely.





3. Install the bolt (A).
