DTC Troubleshooting: B2989

DTC B2989 : A Problem in the A/C Compressor Motor

NOTE: Stop the engine for at least 1 hour.

1. Problem verification:

Problem verification
-1. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

-2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).

-3. Do the Self-Diagnostic Function with the HDS Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

-4. Check for DTCs.

Is DTC B2989 indicated?
-YES- Go to step 2.
-NO- Intermittent failure.

2. DTC check:

-1. Check for DTCs.

Is DTC B2998 indicated?
-YES- Go to DTC B2998 troubleshooting B2998.
-NO- Go to DTC P0533 troubleshooting DTC Troubleshooting.
