Backup Lamp Switch: Service and Repair






Back-Up Light Switch Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Air Cleaner Assembly





1. Disconnect the intake air duct (A) and the intake air pipe (B).

2. Remove the harness clamp (C).

3. Remove the air cleaner (D).

2. Back-Up Light Switch Connector





1. Disconnect the connector (A).

3. Back-Up Light Switch





1. Remove the back-up light switch (A).

2. Remove any old liquid gasket.

Installation

1. Back-Up Light Switch





1. Apply liquid gasket (P/N 08717-0004, 08718-0001, 08718-0012, 08718-0003, 08718-0004, or 08718-0009) to the threads of the back-up light switch (A).

2. Install the back-up light switch.

2. Back-Up Light Switch Connector





1. Connect the connector (A).

3. Air Cleaner Assembly





1. Install the air cleaner (A).

2. Install the harness clamp (B).

3. Connect the intake air pipe (C) and the intake air duct (D).
