Left sliding door lock knob switch circuit troubleshooting
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. With the left sliding door lock knob switch in LOCK position, select SECURITY with the HDS, and enter the DATA LIST.
3. Check the ON/OFF information of the DRIVER'S REAR DOOR LOCK KNOB SWITCH (UNLOCK) in the DATA LIST.
Is information indicator ON?
YES -
Go to step 4.
NO -
Go to step 9.
4. Disconnect left sliding door latch remote control assembly connector B (3P).
5. Check the ON/OFF information of the DRIVER'S REAR DOOR LOCK KNOB SWITCH (UNLOCK) in the DATA LIST.
Is information indicator ON?
YES -
Go to step 6.
NO -
Faulty left sliding door lock knob switch; replace the left sliding door latch remote control assembly Service and Repair.
6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
7. Disconnect rear fuse box connector B (36P).
8. Check for continuity between left sliding door latch remote control assembly connector B (3P) terminal No. 2 and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair a short to ground in the wire.
NO -
Faulty rear MICU; replace the rear fuse box Rear Fuse Box (Rear MICU) Removal and Installation.
9. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
10. Disconnect left sliding door latch remote control assembly connector B (3P).
11. Connect left sliding door latch remote control assembly connector (B) terminal No. 2 and body ground with a jumper wire.
12. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
13. Check the ON/OFF information of the DRIVER'S REAR DOOR LOCK KNOB SWITCH (UNLOCK) in the DATA LIST.
Is information indicator ON?
YES -
Go to step 14.
NO -
Go to step 16.
14. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
15. Check for continuity between left sliding door latch remote control assembly connector B (3P) terminal No. 1 and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Faulty left sliding door lock knob switch; replace the left sliding door latch remote control assembly Service and Repair.
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the ground wire or poor ground (G602).
16. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
17. Connect rear fuse box connector B (36P) terminal No. 3 and body ground with a jumper wire.
18. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
19. Check the ON/OFF information of the DRIVER'S REAR DOOR LOCK KNOB SWITCH (UNLOCK) in the DATA LIST.
Is information indicator ON?
YES -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
NO -
Faulty rear MICU; replace the rear fuse box Rear Fuse Box (Rear MICU) Removal and Installation.
