Power Sliding Door Control Unit Input Test
NOTE:
- Before testing, troubleshoot the multiplex integrated control system first, using B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.
- Before performing the input test of the power sliding door system. Check for the DTCs with the HDS. If any DTCs are indicated, troubleshoot them first.
- After inspection, close the sliding door manually.
Power Sliding Door Control Unit
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
2. Remove the left rear side trim panel Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Rear Side Area.
3. Remove the power sliding door control unit Service and Repair.
4. Disconnect connector A (12P), B (16P), and C (5P) from the power sliding door control unit (D).
NOTE: All connector views are wire side of female terminals.
5. Inspect all the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
- If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, go to step 6.
6. With the connectors still disconnected, do the following input tests:
- If the test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If the input test proves OK, go to step 7.
7. Reconnect all connectors to the power sliding doors control unit, and do the following input tests:
- If the test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If the input test proves OK, go to step 8.
Rear MICU
8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
9. Remove rear side panel Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Rear Side Area.
10. Disconnect rear fuse box connector B (36P).
11. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
- If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, go to step 12.
12. Reconnect the connectors to the rear fuse box, and do the following input tests:
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, go to step 13.
13. If multiple failures are found on more than one control unit, replace the power sliding door control unit Service and Repair. If input failures are related to a particular control unit, replace the control unit.
