Driver's Power Tailgate Switch Test/Replacement

1. Remove the driver's middle panel Dashboard Drivers Middle Panel Removal/Installation.

2. Disconnect the 6P [17P] connector (A) from the driver's power tailgate switch (B).

[ ]: With parking and back-up sensor system






3. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.





[ ]: With parking and back-up sensor system

4. With parking and back-up sensor system: If the continuity is not as specified, check the bulb(s) (C). If the bulb(s) are OK, replace the driver's power tailgate switch.

5. Without parking and back-up sensor system: If the continuity is not as specified, check the bulb (A). If the bulb is OK, replace the driver's power tailgate switch.






6. Install the switch in the reverse order of removal.
