Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Replacement

Removal

NOTE:

- Removal of the front passenger's weight sensors must be done according to Precautions and Procedures Service Precautions.
- The front passenger's weight sensor is part of the seat rail and must be replaced as an assembly.

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Remove the front passenger's seat rail/front passenger's weight sensors as an assembly Front Seat Rail Replacement - Passengers Seat.

Installation

NOTE:

- Be sure to install the harness wires so they are not pinched or interfering with other parts.
- The front passenger's weight sensor is part of the seat rail and must be replaced as an assembly.

1. Install the removed parts to the new front passenger's seat rail/front passenger's weight sensors as an assembly Front Seat Rail Replacement - Passengers Seat.

2. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.

3. Clear any DTCs with the HDS.

4. Do the front passenger's weight sensor initialization.

5. Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
