DTC Troubleshooting: B2635

DTC B2635:

IND Erroneous Lighting

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).

3. Wait for at least 6 seconds.

4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B2635 indicated?

YES -

Go to step 5.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the parking and back-up sensor control unit and the parking and back-up sensor switch.

5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

6. Remove the parking and back-up sensor switch.

7. Check for continuity between parking and back-up sensor switch terminal No. 2 and No. 3.





Is there continuity?

YES -

Go to step 8.

NO -

Replace the parking and back-up sensor switch bulb Service and Repair.

8. Disconnect the parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector.

9. Check for continuity between parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector terminal No. 9 and body ground.





Is there continuity?

YES -

Repair a short to ground in the wire between the parking and back-up sensor control unit and parking and back-up sensor switch.

NO -

Faulty parking and back-up sensor control unit, replace the parking and back-up sensor control unit Service and Repair.
