Navigation System Symptom Troubleshooting - OPEN/CLOSE function of the display does not work

OPEN/CLOSE function of the display does not work

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

2. Disconnect navigation display unit connector B (10P) and audio disc changer connector A (18P).

3. Check for continuity between navigation display unit connector B (10P) terminal No. 10 and body ground.





Is there continuity?

YES -

Repair a short in the wire between navigation display unit connector B (10P) terminal No. 10 and audio disc changer connector A (18P) terminal No. 4.

NO -

Go to step 4.

4. Substitute a known-good navigation display unit Service and Repair, and check to see if the display opens and closes normally.

Does the display work normally?

YES -

Replace the navigation display unit Service and Repair.

NO -

Replace the audio disc changer Service and Repair.
