Dashlights Brightness Controller Test

1. Remove the instrument panel Instrument Panel Removal/Installation.

2. Remove the dashlights brightness controller (A) from the instrument fascia.





3. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 4 and No. 5 while rotating the adjusting dial. The resistance should vary from 0 to 20 kOhms as the dial is rotated.

4. Check for continuity between terminals No. 3 and No. 6 with the dial rotated to CANCEL position. There should be no continuity.

5. If necessary, check the illumination bulb (B).

6. Install the dashlights brightness controller in the reverse order of removal.
