J 42059 Cigar Lighter Socket Remover
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to Batteries Produce Explosive Gases Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Lift up the front cover of the power socket or remove cigarette lighter.
3. Insert the J 42059 into the socket sleeve. Tilt the tool so that the tool fits into the slots on the sides of the socket sleeve.
4. Hold the plastic ring in place. Pull the socket gently out of the assembly in order to remove the outlet.
5. Remove the electrical connector from the socket.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the electrical connectors to the socket.
2. Insert the plastic ring into the opening and snap the plastic ring into place.
3. Insert the socket through the plastic ring and gently turn by hand, until the socket ring is sealed.
4. Close socket covers and/or insert cigarette lighter.
5. Connect the negative battery cable and check for operation.
