Cargo Box Side Rail Protector Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the spare tire carrier to the full open position.
2. Open the end gate.




3. Release the plastic retainer at the end gate side of the bed rail protector.
4. Remove the screws securing the cargo box rail to the body.
5. Remove the bed rail.
6. Release the retainer clips.
7. Lift and remove the cargo box rail protector.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the cargo box rail protector to the cargo box rail under the lower sail panel.
2. Secure the retainers into the body panel.




3. Secure the plastic retainer to the end gate side of the bed rail protector.
4. Position the cargo box rail to the cargo box protector.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

5. Install the screws.

Tighten the screws to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

6. Close the end gate.
7. Latch and secure the spare tire carrier.
