Liftgate Wedge Replacement - Body Side

Removal Procedure

1. Open the liftgate.




2. Remove the fastener (1) retaining the wedge to the vehicle.
3. Remove the wedge (2) from the vehicle. Note the wedge location and placement of the wedge seal.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the wedge (2) to the vehicle. Note the placement of the wedge location and seal (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the fastener (1) retaining the wedge to the vehicle.

Tighten the fastener to 9 Nm (7 lb ft).
