Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the knee bolster bracket. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement (Left Hand Drive)).
2. Disconnect the body wiring harness electrical connector from the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor.




3. Remove the accelerator pedal/APP sensor nuts.
4. Remove the accelerator pedal/APP sensor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the accelerator pedal/APP sensor over the studs.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the accelerator pedal/APP sensor nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 9 Nm (80 lb in).




3. Connect the body wiring harness electrical connector to the APP sensor.
4. Inspect below the pedal for binding, to ensure full range of motion.
5. Install the knee bolster bracket. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement (Left Hand Drive)).
