Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair


Removal:
To remove the Throttle Position Sensor, proceed as follows:
1. Disconnect the harness connector and remove the connector and wiring from their brackets.

2. Using a 10 mm wrench, remove the attachment nut and the accelerator pump lever from the throttle shaft.
3. Remove the two phillips head screws.
4. Remove the E-clip that holds the throttle position sensor to the throttle shaft, remove the sensor.
Installation:
5. Install the sensor, and the two phillips head screws.
6. Install the E-clip on the throttle shaft.
7. Reattach the accelerator pump lever to the throttle shaft.
8. Reconnect the harness connector and wiring brackets.
9. Refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES for adjustment to obtain the proper alignment setting.
