Heater Control Levers - Difficulty Operating

Condition: High effort required to move the temperature control lever and/or the fresh/recirculation mode select lever on the heater control panel.
Cause: The control cables, P/N 97261-33000 - temperature control and P/N 97262-33000 - fresh/recirculation control, may be bent or kinked causing excessive friction between the cable and housing.
Correction: Remove the bent cables and straighten. Replace cables if they are sharply kinked and cannot be adequately straightened.
Special Service Note
The heater control cables should be removed and inspected for bends and kinks, and repaired or replaced if necessary prior to replacing a nonfunctioning heater control assembly, P/N 97250-33A00.
Revision
The original bulletin reversed the names of the individual control cables, they are corrected above.
