POWER STEERING OIL PUMP PRESSURE SWITCH





When servicing the power steering system and its related parts, care must be taken around the power steering oil pump pressure switch. This pressure switch has plastic components that could be easily damaged by inadvertent contact during underhood service. A damaged switch could lead to power steering system fluid leakage.


Take extra care when performing the following service procedures:

Installing an alternator or adjusting the belt tension.

Installing an engine.

Installing the power steering system, pump belt, or adjusting belt tension.
