Thermal Vacuum Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. DO NOT APPLY TOOLS TO THE RESIN PART OF THE THERMO VALVE.
2. Mark the vacuum hoses before removal.
3. Using a suitable wrench on the metal part of the thermo valve remove it from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION

1. Apply 3M locking sealant number 4171 (or its equivalent) to the threads of the thermo valve.
2. Install the thermo valve and using a suitable wrench tighten the valve to 20 to 40 Nm (15 to 30 ft. lbs.).
