Heater Core: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain cooling system and discharge refrigerant.
2. Disconnect heater hoses, then using tube remover 09977-33600 or equivalent. Remove suction hose and liquid tube.
3. Remove console assembly, glove box assembly, main lower crash pad and lower crash pad center fascia assembly.
4. Remove heater control assembly, then lower crash pad center skin assembly and crash pad center support bracket assembly.
5. Remove the evaporator unit assembly.
6. Remove the rear heating joint duct assembly, then the heater unit assembly.
7. Remove the heater core from the heater unit assembly, Figs. 6 and 7.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
