Troubleshooting Hints
1. If unexpected shocks are felt during driving or the engine stalls suddenly, shake the crankshaft position sensor harness. If this causes the engine to stall, check for poor contact of the sensor connector.
2. If the tachometer reads 0 rpm when the engine is cranked, check for faulty crankshaft position sensor or ignition system problems.











Harness Inspection Procedure


Sensor Inspection Procedure
1. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.





2. Measure the resistance between terminal 2 and 3.

Standard value: 0.486 - 0.594 k ohms at 20°C (68°F)

3. If the resistance deviates from the standard value, greatly replace the sensor
