Ignition Control Module: Testing and Inspection
1. Connect the negative (-) terminal of the 3V power supply to terminal 1 of the power transistor; then check whether there is continuity between terminal 1 and terminal 3 when terminal 4 and the positive (+) terminal are connected and disconnected.
With terminal 4 connected to 3 volt positive:
Continuity between terminal 1 and terminal 3
With terminal 4 NOT connected to 3 volt positive:
NO continuity between terminal 1 and terminal 3
2. Replace the power transistor if there is a malfunction.
