ROUGH IDLE OR ENGINE STALLS

Check in the order shown

1. Check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes
- Repair condition as required.
2. Check for vacuum leaks
- Oil filler cap.
- Oil dipstick.
- Vacuum hose connections.
- Positive Crankcase Ventilation hose.
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation system.
3. Check fuel pressure
- Fuel line leakage or deformation.
- Fuse.
- Fuel Pump.
- Fuel filter.
- Fuel Pressure Regulator.
4. Check Air Filter
- Clean or replace as needed.
5. Check idle speed
- Adjust as needed.
6. Check ignition timing
- Reset timing correctly.
7. Check Spark Plugs
- Condition.
- Gap.
- Compression (if needed).
8. Check Injectors
- Repair as needed
9. Check Multiport Fuel Injection electronic circuit
- Wiring connections.
- Power to Engine Control Module.
- Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor.
- Intake Air Temperature Sensor.
- Injection signal circuit.
- Throttle Position Sensor.
- Volume Airflow Meter.
