Camshaft Position Sensor: Description and Operation
Crankshaft Angle Sensor (CKP) And Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP):
PURPOSE/OPERATION The
camshaft position sensor detects the camshaft position on the compression stroke of number 1 and number 4 cylinders, converts it into a pulse signal and inputs it to the engine control module. The engine control module then computes the fuel injection sequence based on this signal.
