Automatic Transmission/Transaxle: Adjustments

Inhibitor Switch Adjustment Marks:





1. Place selector lever in Neutral position.
2. Place manual control lever in Neutral position.
3. Turn inhibitor switch body to align end of manual control lever with flange of inhibitor switch body.
4. Tighten inhibitor switch mounting bolts.

Torque: 10-12 Nm (7.5-9 ft lb)

5. Loosen the cable adjusting nut on the manual control arm and lightly pull end of transaxle control cable forward.
6. Tighten cable adjusting nut.

Torque: 10-12 Nm (7.5-9 ft lb)

7. Ensure selector lever is in Neutral position, and switch operates properly.
