Power Steering Pressure Switch: Description and Operation
Power Steering Oil Pressure Switch Location:
PURPOSE/OPERATION The
power steering oil pressure switch senses the power steering load and sends a low/high voltage signal to the engine control module, which then controls the idle speed control motor based on this signal. When pump output pressure exceeds a preset level the switch closes, completing the circuit to ground.
