Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection
CHECKING THE IGNITION COIL 1.
Measure the resistance between the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the
ignition coil.
Standard Value: 0.8 ± .08 Ohms 2.
Measure the resistance between the ignitions coil's positive (+) terminal and the high voltage terminal/
Standard Value: 12.1 ± 1.8 K ohms 3.
If the
ignition coil fails any of these tests replace it.
