With Generic Scan Tool

1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.





2. Connect the Scan Tool to the diagnosis connector in the fuse box.
3. Connect the power-source terminal of the Scan Tool to the cigarette lighter socket.
4. Turn ON the ignition switch.
7. Erase the diagnostic trouble code.

NOTE
a) Select 4. "SPECIAL TEST" from the function selection menu of the Scan Tool.
b) Then select Item No.5 "ERASE DIAG".
c) Press the YES key when "ERASE DIAG. CODE?" is displayed.
d) Enter ID code "19".
e) Press the CLEAR key when "FINISHED ERASING DIAG. CODE" is displayed.
f) Read the self-diagnosis output and check output of correct code.

8. Disconnect the scan tool.





NOTE
- When the ignition key is in the ST position, the cigarette lighter power is OFF. If a test needs to be made during cranking, use the battery clamp harness provided.
