Modification Of Outside Mirror Assembly.





When replacing the outside mirror assembly on the 1995 Sonata produced prior to December 20, 1993, a tab will need to be removed from the replacement mirror as illustrated.





Lift the foam pad on the new outside mirror.





Using a nipper, cut off the the tab by 12 mm (1/2 inch) or more from its end.

WARNING:
Do not twist the tab while cutting it with the nipper or damage can occur to the outside mirror housing surface.





Fold the foam pad back into its original position. Press down to re-bond the adhesive.
