Ignition Coil Pack: Description and Operation
IGNITION COIL/OPERATIONWhen the ignition power transistor is turned ON by the signal from the ECM, it sends current to the ignition coil primary windings. When primary current is shut OFF (via the power transistor) a high voltage is induced in the secondary coil.
