Transmission Mode Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect the power/normal switch connector.





2. Place the power/normal switch in the POWER (push) position and check for continuity between the Ignition (IG) and Power (PWR) terminals.

Continuity: Should exist.

3. Place the power/normal switch in the NORMAL (free) position and check for continuity between the NORM and IG terminals.

Continuity: Should exist.

4. Check for continuity between the ILL+ and ILL- terminals.

Continuity: Should exist in POWER and NORMAL modes.

4. If continuity does not exist, replace the power/normal switch.
