Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Drain the coolant down to sensor level or below.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable and disconnect the engine harness connector from the sensor.
3. Remove the sensor.

INSTALLATION





1. Apply sealant to the threaded portion and tighten to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: Engine Coolant temperature sensor: 15-20 Nm (11-15 ft.lbs.)
2. Connect the harness connector to the coolant temperature sensor.
3. Connect the battery to ground cable.
4. Refill the system with clean coolant.
