Tightening Torque Specifications





















Nuts And Bolts 15 - 20 Nm (11 - 14 ft. lbs.)
Manifold Stay To Cylinder Block 23 - 30 Nm (17 - 22 ft. lbs.)
Manifold Nuts 18 - 25 Nm (13 - 18 ft. lbs.)



Tightening Sequence:






Install the cylinder head bolts. Starting at top center, tighten all cylinder head bolts in sequence as shown in illustration, using the Cylinder Head Bolt Wrench (09221 -11001) or equivalent. Repeat the procedure, re-tightening all cylinder head bolt to the specified torque.
Cylinder head bolt
M10: 30 Nm (300 kg.cm, 22 ft. lbs.) + (60°- 65°) + (60°-65°)
M12: 35 Nm (350 kg.cm, 26 ft. lbs.) + (60°- 65°) + (60°-65°)












Crankshaft Bearing Cap Bolt: 48 Nm + (60° - 65°) (35 ft. lbs. + (60° - 65°)







Drive Plate Bolt (Flex Plate) 120 - 130 Nm (88 - 95 ft. lbs.)

Tightening Sequence
Tighten the bearing caps to the specified torque in two or three steps as shown.
Tightening torque:
Bearing cap bolt: 12-14 Nm (120-140 kg.cm, 9-10 ft. lbs.)
