Throttle Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments
CLOSED THROTTLE POSITION SWITCHInspection
Verify that the closed throttle position switch (CTPS) is "ON" when the accelerator is in the released position.
NOTE: Check the CTPS ON / OFF condition by measuring the voltage between the CTPS switch connector and the ground wire.
Adjustment
Adjust the CTPS so the voltage readings correspond to specifications below.
Specifications:
- CTPS ON (idle position): 0 Volts
- CTPS OFF (other than idle position): 12 Volts
