Blower Motor Resistor: Testing and Inspection

1. Measure terminal-to-terminal resistance of the blower resistor. If measured resistance is not within specification, the blower resistor must be replaced.

- Thermal limiters

* Operating temperature (Low speed side) 183° C (361.4° F)
** Operating temperature (High speed side) 183° C (361.4° F)

* When the low speed side thermal limiter goes out, only the low speed blower operation does not work.
** When the high speed side thermal limiter goes out, only the high speed blower operation works.

NOTE: Never attempt to replace the blown-out fuse in the blower resistor, replace the resistor assembly.
